Thassos is easily accessible by a short boat-trip, there is no airport on the island. Ferries depart from the mainland via the ports at Kavala or Keramoti, and arrive on the island at either Skala Prinou or Limena.
From Kavala
The Kavala-Skala Prinou ferry leaves approximately five times per day, and takes about 75 minutes. Once you arrive in SkalaPrinou, you can drive (or take the bus) the 23 kilometers to Limenaria. Coming out of the port, turn right onto the main coastal road continue until you reach Limenaria. You will pass through the towns of Prinou, Skala Sotiros, Skala Kalirachis, Skala Marion, Limenaria, Potos and Astris. Once you reach Astris, continue towards the road on your left side you will see Studios Astris.
From Keramoti
The Keramoti ferry arrives in Limena, the capital of Thassos. The journey takes about 35 minutes, and there are multiple crossings each day during the summer. From the harbor in Limena, turn right onto the main coastal road and follow the signs to Prinou. Pass through the towns of Prinou, Skala Sotiros, Skala Kalirachis, Skala Marion, Limenaria, Potos and Astris. Once you reach Astris, continue towards the road on your left side you will see Studios Astris.
By plane
The closest airport to Thassos is in the city of Kavala (Alexander the Great airport), located close to Chrysoupolis on the outskirts of Kavala, only 17 kilometers from the Keramoti harbor. There are daily flights to and from Athens, as well as numerous charter flights from all over Europe.
